In 2006, H. Doug Kingsmore acquired Palmetto Finishing, formerly the Falcon Plant of Hanes Dye & Finishing, a company with 100 years of experience in the textile industry. Palmetto Finishing offers high quality dying and finishing, fast deliveries, and excellent customer service to our textile partners. Palmetto Finishing has bleached and dyed fabrics for the home furnishings market including cottons, poly-cottons, polyesters, non-wovens, and various specialty fabrics. Finishing services for the home furnishings market include: prepare-for-print finishes and pigment dyed shades used in comforters, bedspreads, linings and ticking fabrics. Palmetto Finishing provides a wide range of finishing options as well; from scouring and heat settings in a variety of finishes including soil release, anti-microbials, water-repellents, and fire retardants. Palmetto Finishing uses modern technology to maintain an up-to-date inventory of greige and finished fabrics at all times. Currently staffing nearly 50 dedicated employees, Palmetto Finishing produces around $6 million in sales each year, enabling this company to remain a leader in today's ever changing textile industry.
