Alcoa Mt. Holly
Situated on over 5000 acres of timberland, Alcoa-Mt. Holly is a primary aluminum smelter constructed in 1980. Mt Holly, an industry leader in production efficiency, energy utilization, and environmental control, was the first primary aluminum plant in the world to be registered totally to the ISO 9002 Quality System Standard. The plant employs over 500 men and women who live in the Lowcountry and surrounding communities.

The Mt. Holly facility represents an original capital investment of over $340 million dollars in the Lowcountry. Alcoa-Mt. Holly has an annual capacity of 245,000 tons of aluminum. The metal is used by our customers to produce consumer products such as building materials, food and beverage cans, foil wrap, cable, and automotive and aerospace parts.
